Christine Sutka, LICSW
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who specializes in trauma informed care. I have experience working with complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD, ODD and intellectual disabilities as well as other childhood disorders.
I have experience working with children and families in the outpatient setting as well as previously working as an In-Home Therapist. In addition, I have experience working with families who have had children placed in congregate care settings.
I enjoy working with children as young as 4 years old as well as teens, adults, and couples. I utilize an eclectic approach to interventions including trauma based interventions, development based interventions including structured play therapy, as well as person centered interventions. Since each person presents a unique experience to the therapeutic dyad, I tailor my interventions to meet each person where they are at.
I help people feel empowered in the face of life's difficulties. I work with those who need help healing traumas, overcoming anxieties, or facing uncertainty.
I am a person-centered therapist that utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy. I believe that each person is the director of their session. It is my job to be in a supportive role, helping to hold the pain or guide towards resolution of strong feelings. I am a traumatic-informed clinician utilizing the best practice that fits the person being served. It is my goal to help you find your voice, identify your needs, as well as help you meet your life goals.
